Business Plan

The Namena Marine Reserve was founded to ensure the conservation of the marine resources in the Namena and Kubulau Area. We are currently in the process of developing the Namena Marine Reserve business plan and local microenterprise activities as to promote economic development, alternative livelihoods and strong financial planning for the Kubulau community.

The business plan is an innovative project similar to that of the World Conservation Society plan for the Bunakin Marine Park yet Namena is a small community based Marine Protected Area. We are also currently active with the World Conservation Society to improve the management regime of the Namena Marine Reserve.
